Custom G&L Guitars?
Can I order a custom G&L guitar? Like, let's say I want a Legacy with a slim "C" neck, nitrocellulose redburst finish, black 3-ply pickguard with white trim... Could I get that? And if so, how?

Pick a G&L dealer. Try Buffalo Brothers. Let them have your specs and they'll put the order in for you.cblev3694 wrote:Can I order a custom G&L guitar? BillEvans1956 is correct, you need to contact a G&L dealer to place the order.cblev3694 wrote:Can I order a custom G&L guitar? Like, let's say I want a Legacy with a slim "C" neck, nitrocellulose redburst finish, black 3-ply pickguard with white trim... Could I get that? And if so, how?
See G&L's main website for the list of current US dealers and international distributors,
USA guitar specifications, USA guitar options and USA finishes.
Hope this helps.

Then once you order, you get to deal with the long agonizing wait for your guitar to arrive. My first custom order took about 5 months for it to finally get to me. and the SC-2 i recently ordered has been 2 months so far. Hehehe, keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't take as long as the first. They are a thing of beauty and a sight to behold when the do arrive though.

Re: Custom G&L Guitars?
I just picked up my special order.
44 days from date of order confirmation from the factory to delivery in Canada.
Great service so far from Bone Rattle Music in Vancouver.
They have a white Legacy and a sunburst ASAT Classic in stock plus a couple of basses. They have a black Bluesboy on order.
I'm going to register it now and post pics as soon as I am able to put it down.

A few months for a made-to-order G&L sounds great to me. My previous guitar forum of choice was centered around the maker of often pointy-shaped instruments. Said forum has seen more and more horror stories of waits up to and beyond one year... a wait rewarded far too often with an instrument which is not as ordered.

Re: Custom G&L Guitars?
Last August my G&L took a paltry 50 days to complete, and I orderred it on a Saturday (so discount 2 days ). I am currently waiting on a custom shop guitar, orderred January 13th. Should be here in a few weeks though, which is very fast for custom shop work. After week 1 and 2 you calm down a good deal. The problem with custom shops is you get progress pics (which get you psyched again), fortunately with G&L you just randomly get a call /email saying your guitar is in.vulpesoutfoxed wrote:Then once you order, you get to deal with the long agonizing wait for your guitar to arrive.
