My first G&L - Legacy USA

Post by gavquinn »

Hi Folks,

My name's Gavin, from Dublin. I just got an ex-trade show G&L Legacy USA last week, and I think it's great.

I've been an S-Type guitar lover for years and have owned 7 in all. This is the best by far. It's an alder body, 3 piece I believe. It's 3 colour sunburst, with a tortoise shell guard. It has a maple neck and black plastic trim. The neck has large (by my perception) frets. These are Med Jumbo/Jumbo? Not sure exactly what the name is for these. It's also a 12" radius which I find nice. It is a bit easier to bend, but for me doesn't make the vintage radius seem "worse" or more difficult. :| However, in a few years when it comes to a refret I'll go for a vintage sized stainless fretwire. With the 12" radius it should feel lovely.

Welcome, Gavin!

See this post regarding G&L fret wire: 6100 Fretwire.

Regarding your G&L Legacy, we do have an unwritten rule that says, "It does not exist without photo proof". ;)
