30th Anniversary Asat Classic

Post by Baco »

I wanted a tele-shaped guitar for a long time now and G&L was the only brand I was considering. I finally made up my mind and bough this 30th Anniversary Asat Classic, the Legacy is on order too :shifty:

I love this guitar, I should have bought one way sooner...

I thoroughly tested it on an Engl Invader 100 and Mark V at my place, sounds amazing and plays like a dream! As I said, I have the Legacy from this 30th Anniversary Edition on order too, the Pearl Frost is a really nice finish. I have another G&L incoming, should be here next week, a Rampage in Whiskey finish :shocked003:

Great looking guitar! I played a 30th Anniversary Legacy at a local shop and it was pretty sweet! Looks lovely and sounds even better.

Banco, I just got my 30 Th Aniv ASAT Classic about a month ago. They are beautiful, one of the best that G&L has ever done in my opinion. A class act for sure. I hope you register it. I believe that mine was the first classic registered and it could use some company!-- Darwin

Congrats! I wanted to find a word other than "classy" to describe the Pearl Frost finish, since it's already been said a couple times, but that's the word that fits best... :)

I'll try and weigh the guitar tomorrow

She doesn't feel light, just as I like it 8-)

The ebony finger board seems to give the Asat classic a unique voice
somewhat close to maple but different. If the maple gives it bite
then ebony gives it bite and bark! :)

You're right it is an S-500. You can also see the mini toggle switch that allows for
bridge-neck and all 3 pickups on.

aha. Very nice! How do you like the Legacy? I've just ordered one on Ebay and I'm super stoked. My first G&L - I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas right now.

meowmix's 30th Anniversary IS an S-500 30th Anniversary model. G&L added a few more models after the initial set was announced.
See G&L Announces the 30th Anniversary Collection! and New Models Added to G&L 30th Anniversary Collection.

BTW, the factory is still building 30th Anniversary models, but that could end any time soon.

Hope this helps.
