Well I finally got the Mesa Boogie Lonestar Special I have wanted since they were introduced. A cool EL-84 sound with enough Mesa tone that gives me a sound that I have been looking for since all I have are 6L6 amps, including a Boogie F-50. This thing gives 5, 15, 30 and a 35 watt option so it will cover all bases. I have been talking with a craigslist poster in Chicago for a while and “just happened to be in Chicago” this week. Played it at very low volume last night since I am in a hotel and I don't want to get thrown out of a hotel, especially without gigs and groupies involved! Sweet tones, nice clarity and reverb equal to the F-50. Will get a full run through when back at home, can't wait.
Here it is in the hotel.

Nice. From the description that sounds like a bitchin' amp! Glad it all worked out. Now crank it up on your last night at the No-tell Motel.
