The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.
So i was sitting in front of my computer last saturday afternoon, and i came across across a 99' G&L ASAT with a low price and no bids.... so i bid and actually won! It was my first time using the bay and wasn't sure what to expect........ I am happy to report that it was a fantastic experience, i don't know if that is the norm or not, but for a first timer it was more than i expected. Here are some pics i took this morning after bringing her home from a quick once over at my local dealer.
Congrats Scott!! That is a beauty. Is the finish CAR? The flake in that finish is always throwing me off.
Nice the seller gave you an honest chance to prove yourself as an eBay-er. Some of them are really fickle on first-timers. And as far as experience goes, a lot depends on the honesty of the seller and the quality of the wares offered. In the case of G&L's, the latter is usually well taken care of.
Don't forget to add or update this guitar in the Registry.
I thought the color was ruby red metallic.... but now i'm not sure - It is pretty dark in person, but i have never seen a CAR in person either. Maybe i'll have to order a new one to compare! (That is after my SC-2 arrives)

Judging from your picture of the guitar in its case, I am pretty sure it is Candy Apple Red. It is really weird how the texture seems to change under certain lighting conditions (read flash).
Thanks for the help - i will go with the experts on this one and officially call it CAR. Here it is in a different light with the rest of the collection
