Legacy HB

Post by Muleya »

The Legacy HB I ordered just prior to Thanksgiving was delivered today!! I was stoked that it came in the nice tolex case...wasn't sure if it would or not...it's a beautiful case. And the guitar doesn't look bad, either!! And it plays so nicely!! Here it is:

Also found it interesting the serial number is now on a plate screwed onto the back of the headstock!

Nice tight neck pocket.

The frets are beautifully done. It plays really nicely and sounds sweet!! It's a bit on the heavy side, though...even though I requested a lighter body...8.6 lbs., a full pound heavier than my other Legacy. But it's still a bit lighter than my LP!

Anyway, I'm a happy camper!!

Nice guitar Muleya! But I cannot say I find the S/N plate esthetically pleasing. Now it is very easy to remove the serial number, but come to think of it, that was also the case for the S/N on the neck plate. In any case, the spec sheet is a very nice touch to the package. Reminds me of very early PRS guitars which came with a (handwritten) spec sheet or their current Private Stock models.

Yeah, I had similar thoughts about the S/N plate. Though the waterslide decals wouldn't be too hard to remove, either, if someone wanted to do that...but for whatever reason, it feels more permanent!
