Sorry for the mediocre picture. This is my S-500 who has had a troubled life and thus comes from a confusing lineage.
I bought it new in 1995 or 1996. It was well played and always my favorite but somewhere around 2001/2002 the neck needed to be replaced because of a severe back bow. It was replaced under warranty but the replacement arrived with the opposite problem. Another warranty return was set up and this time my guitar was "lost" at the factory. In a time of employee transition the paper work and some of my parts were separated. Not knowing this I became a little frustrated with the timeliness of the repair I thought I would call. The voice on the other end responded "OH! You are the owner of the green S-500." The black crinkle neck plate, my original case and satin locking tuners were lost. These were all replaced to the best of their ability (silver GF0644 neck plate, new case, gloss locking tuners).
It was an honest mix up, I was just glad to be reunited with my guitar.
