Kit Audio Clips - Midnight - Sleepwalk

Post by Kit »

I have a small number of home recordings, but only 2 of these feature a G&L guitar. All my recordings are done in the following manner. The tracks are recorded on a Fostex MR8. Drums are programmed with a software drum program, bass and guitars are recorded using a J-Station amp simulator. The mix is done on a PC with ntrack which allows me to EQ, pan, control individual track volume, apply effects and compression.

The song Midnight is an attempt at writing a downtempo piece. I know the lead is the LE in pickup position 2 (it could be 4 but I don't remember precisely). I think the rhythm guitar is the Yamaha SG1500.

My cover of Sleepwalk is really just to record an old song that I've played in bits and pieces over the years. The lead part is the LE, and I think the rhythm parts are also done with the LE. The bass parts on both songs are done on the old Fernandes bass I used to have. I sold it once I got my G&L L-2000, which I have not used so far in recording.

I can also link to my other non-G&L music if anyone is interested.
