Possible Stolen Legacy on ebay????

Post by Chuckfan »

Check this out. Nice legacy hardtail. Neck was refinished, the logo is gone and no serial #. Cheap buy it now price $650.00. This was in y local craigslist. I inquired about the guitar and before I even knew the logo was gone I asked for the serial # and the guy never responded. I asked 2 other questions, said I was super interested and no reply. Now it's on ebay. Could be legit but I thought I'd post it here incase anyone has a legacy recently stolen.

Might not have a serial number on the neck--it might be an older three-bolt model with the number on the neck plate. And when they applied the darrker tint to the fingerboard, they might have scraped off the Logo. The guy does have good feedback, but it does make you wonder.

Chuckfan, the answers to your questions are on his Q&A section. And the seller says it's a 4 bolt.
This guitar is anyway special enough (spec wise) that it's still recognizable even without the serial number. The price isn't that low either IMO if you consider that the modifications may make it less desirable to the potential buyer. I wouldn't be too alarmed but I wouldn't want to buy it either...
