Hope this is not called off topic....I just joined this forum ..just got a G&L S500 and want to ask some questioins..but can't see how to post a new topic.......can someone help. I need to know what to 2 screws in front of the tail piece do? Do they have anything to do with raising or lowering the strings, or do the just hold the steal tail piece on?

Re: G&L Audio and Video Clips!!!
Actually it is off topic on this thread (G&L Audio and Video Clips!!!). Here's what you should have done: select G&L Forum from the main menu above. Then select the sub-forum that fits your post, in this case it would be the Let's talk G&L Products. Now you should see the New Topic button/link on the left hand side. Select it and then fill in your post. I will go ahead move your post into that sub-forum with a new subject line, to get you started.Choctaw wrote:Hope this is not called off topic....I just joined this forum ..just got a G&L S500 and want to ask some questioins..but can't see how to post a new topic.......can someone help. Also you should review the guitarsbyleo.com History and G&LDP Guidelines and then post your introduction into the Introductions sub-forum.
Hope this helps.

Re: New member with S-500 - have some questions
These two studs provide 2 functions: they hold the Dual Fulcrum Vibrato (DFV) in place and they provide the receiving end of the knife edge around which the DVF moves. Usually they have nothing to do with setting your string height. Adjusting your saddles on the bridge should be sufficient. When setting up your S-500, the DVF should be parallel to the surface of the body of the guitar at a height of 3/16"; the thickness of a standard toothbrush. The provided link goves you more info or you can do a Search on this site using the keywords '3/16' and 'toothbrush'.Choctaw wrote:I need to know what to 2 screws in front of the tail piece do?
