SC-2 Finish options

Post by blargfromouterspace »

Seeing as these barely ever come up for sale used, I'm thinking I might have to order one new. Can you get them in finishes other than what's listed on the website (black/blue/red/green)? I've seen a few pics of them in other colours, mainly 'yellow fever', but they don't seem to be all that common.

I'll see if I can find out.

Stay tuned.

I just heard back from Dave (Darth Invader).

The SC-2 is available in all the finishes and woods options now. Dave just hasn't had a chance to update the website yet.

What finishes are you considering?

Hope this helps.

You are welcome.

I am interested in seeing some more of the Frost Top Coat finishes. Dave will have some more to add
when he gets the photos and the time to add them. Where did you see tangerine frost?

BTW, my Belair Green SC-2 is my current favorite. I'm sure you are going to :luv: the one you order.

Seems to be a common thing amongst the owners of SC-2's that they are a favourite. It's part of the reason I want one so bad.

I saw the tangerine frost on G&L's Facebook page, I don't see it on the website yet. With these new finishes (margarita being the other one) being added I think I might wait until something really special comes along.

Just went to have a look and the one on the Facebook page is Tangerine Metallic, not frost. I'm keen to see a few more pictures of what sets it apart from a solid/metallic finish.

I have been very intrigued with SC-2s. I was going to get an SG but I don't think I will do anything till I can play an SC-2 first. My S-500 has really got me on the G&L kick bigtime. Hmmmm. Lots to consider.

I got an SC-2 (hardtail) on the cheap last year and it is more fun to play than my Legacy, Comanche, or Bluesboy. Strung with 9s and with that very light body it is amazingly resonant and spunky :alright:

That is great news. I'm ordering one this week.

I'm not going to be too far behind you Will. They've just announced another colour - Yukon Gold. The decision process is not getting any easier...

Nice frog. I had a pet frog when I was 10, I found it in McDonalds and kept it until its tank became covered in maggots.

I caught it a few years ago. It was bright green and resting on my red brick garage; easy to spot. That picture shows him very, very full of food. Low maintenance and peeps occasionally too...

"Yukon Gold"? These colors need to be posted!

Hey Will, They are are on the USA Finishes page of G&L's main site.
Dave has been updating the site when time permits.

Just check back there periodically.

Hope this helps.
