The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

factory order ??

Post by guitarrich »

Hi, As I said before, there are very few G&L Dealers near me (southern NJ); a few near Phila. , Pa. The distant dealers I've contacted (4-5) have little stock to choose from. I've never bought a guitar without playing it first; and since 'playability' is such a personal thing; it does not make sense to me. However, I know many do place orders with G&L ; directly or thru a dealer. Do they (G&L) 'guarantee' satisfaction ? Would I get my $$ back if not? I'm pretty fussy about my guitars & necks.. Can anyone tell me about their G&L 'order' experience; and my chances of being satisfied/ or 'stuck'. Thanks, Rich..

Rich,
I have never ordered on from G&L but I know someone who has they ordered a ASAT Classic and it was dead on just as they liked.
The closest G&L dealer to me is 22 miles away across Dallas (traffic).
As big as Dallas/Ft. Worth has gotten I don't know why they don't get more dealers(we only have 3 dealers and D/FW has a population of 7 million now).I got 2 Guitar Centers within 10 miles of my house.
I bought my G&L's used. That was after playing all kinds of guitars. I am picky too. Never buy one on E-Bay.

G&L does not sell direct to customers, so you must order from a G&L dealer. I think your changes of being satisfied are very good.
Check with your local G&L dealers and ask them what their return/satisfaction policy is. G&L does stand behind their products, but they cannot guarantee satisfaction (I don't know of any manufacturer which does that).

Hope this helps.
