Plex System

Anyone know when G&L started using the Plex System on necks? What would be the intro, same for all models? All guitars use Plex now? Isn't this what Gibson is using from 08 on?

You probably mean the Plek system, right?

Check out this link: What is G&L's Plek machine used for?

Sorry, I don't know if Gibson uses the PLEK Pro system.

Hope this helps.

I believe Gibson uses the Plek machine, but they don't seem to have the hang of it - you still see Gibsons with sharp fret ends...

G&L on the other hand know what they're doing!

I'm not sure, but I think the Plek does not care about fret ends. It's doing fret leveling and slots the nut.

What I'm wondering about is, how many machines has G&L? I looks like just one. The process takes 20 minutes and I guess, with some things to do before and after, you'll get not more than 2 instruments per hour finished. So even, if the machine runs around the clock, you wont probably get more than 50 Instruments per day.

And how many machines must Gibson than have, I think they are very expensive.
