brand spanking new guitar

hey G&L friends, I picked up my custom ordered ASAT classic custom today and want to show it off. Ordered it at the end of the first week of December. the wait was getting hard these last few weeks. I am not a patient boy and would have bought one off the shelf if I could have found any ASAT with the 12 inch board. I asked for the 1C, modern U. I was worried that it was going to be a baseball bat but it feels average. The board feels really flat which I am really happy about. it's a soft, smooth neck with some decent grain. Only options are locking tuners and the vintage creme guard. I am really digging the middle position. the neck pup is real warm, the bridge is hot and twangy and they blend together nicely. the weight is nice-not too heavy, not too light. you can feel the weight of the tuners but overall, it feels balanced. Officially, I bought it as a back up but its going to be number one for a while.



here it is with my only other electric guitar (I have my GAS somewhat under control!!)



My band is playing our first show since July in a couple weeks. We had to replace our bass player and life in general has been keeping us busy.. Looking forward to showing this baby off in public!
