Callahan Tele saddle on ASAT Classic?

Post by mcgroup53 »

Will a Callaham vintage Tele saddle assembly fit an ASAT Classic Tribute? I don't know if the screw holes are identical. Thanks.

No - the Callaham vintage saddles are for a 3 saddle bridge, so the required holes are in different places on the bridge. If you want to fit them to your ASAT you'll need to either drill holes in your bridge or purchase a bridge designed to have 3 saddles. You can get a Fender branded one for around $10 and I'd recommend that over drilling holes - chances are that unless you have a good drilling rig then you'll drill them slightly off and undo all the benefits of the finely engineered Callaham parts. I wouldn't recommend buying the bridge from Callaham or Glendale, they're hideously overpriced. IMO.
