Anybody know anything about these serial numbers?

Anybody know anything about these serial numbers?

Post by yowhatsshakin »

Currently there is this auction going on on DaBay for a 3-bolt neck plate with S/N 'JJ0171' stamped into it. Looking around in the registry there is not a single entry starting with 'JJ' (John Jorgenson?) let alone the 'JJ0171' S/N offered. Does anybody know anything about this type of serial number?

That's Thumbs' auction. He probably got that from the factory and then had it powder-coated.
I have one which Dean got from the factory a year or two ago, but my is chrome finished. They were intended for the John Jorgenson Signature model but
for some reason were never used. I'll post a picture of mine this weekend, as my JJ sig ASAT is at the Paso Robles home and i am currently in San Jose.

To my knowledge, all JJ signature ASATs have a G0xxxx neckplate serial number when they were shipped from the factory.

Hope this helps.
