Hello from SE Tennessee!

Post by cmshelton »

Hello all,

New member here who recently began exploring the world of G&L guitars. Fascinated by the history and the closest I will probably come to owning a guitar that has an actual connection to the designers. As my first, I just acquired what I suspect is an 83' F-100 Series 2, which is absolutely amazing! It had to have been a case queen for the past 40 years, because it is almost pristine. No major scratches in the finish, a couple of minor dings, no fret/fretboard wear or wear to the crinkle black powder coated parts.

I am happy to be here and learn all I can about this era of Leo Fender and George Fullerton's design and craftsmanship.

Hi CMShelton! :greet:

Welcome and you are off to a fantastic start into the G&L world with an early F-100. Looking forward to seeing pictures when ya can.

Now the obligatory interrogation, how did you come about interest in G&L, what are/did you play before G&L, and what style of music have you found to match yer F-100?

Lot of knowledgeable folks here for any questions and we LOVE G&L pics! Come around often.
Cya,
Sam

Hello, CM!
Great start in the G&L world with a guitar made while Leo was still active at the factory. Amazing the guitar is in such good condition. Have you checked the registry or contacted the service department at the factory for info?
