Favorite Pedals for Your G&L Guitar

I don't have a ton of pedals, but the ones I have were all chosen over a long period of trial and error. I'm really happy now with my pedal board when playing my G&L ASAT Classic Bluesboy through them. The board is currently:

BBE Sonic Stomp
Boss/JHS JB-2 Angry Driver (w/FS-7 Dual Foot Switch)
Dunlop Cry Baby Q Zone
Mojo Hand FX Magpie

I'm only beginning to dig into guitar and pedal electronics. After cycling each of my guitars through my pedal board and hearing slight differences in the output, I started educating myself about pedals and have gone down the electronics rabbit hole via LiveSpice and AionFX.

I'm curious if anyone out there has also found that what sounds great with their G&L doesn't sound quite the same with other guitars. I realize this can be a combination of the material differences between guitars (wood, density, etc) and the onboard electronics. I'm looking to isolate why my G&L is the only guitar that sounds incredible running through this rig!

I'm not too picky about pedals. A couple cheap ODs. A preamp/booster. That's about it most of the time. All my guitars sound different but I can usually leave my pedals set as is when swapping between guitars. Sometimes I'll sour on a pedal and then revisit it a few days later and like it. Funny how perception can change so quickly.

At home I usually don't use pedals. I just plug in gtr>>amp.
When playing blues out and about I usually bring a fulltone OCD for a little dirt on the low gain setting for a more transparent effect, always on, and i just use the volume knob on the gtr to adjust. I also have a relatively cheap Donner Alchemy pedal that has a nice rotating speaker effect. I'll use it on a solo one song per night. Audience really notices that.
For rock, depends on the needs of the songs (that's so cliche, but true). I have a small pedal board but constant inhabitants are a boss CS3 compressor (almost always on), a boss BD2 for OD, lately an electro harmonix Modulator 11 pedal for chorus/flange/phase, and then whatever else is needed.

Probably won't get much traction, but I have built and used a few of the clone pedals from Stew Mac with good results. But I like building stuff.

I'm glad you mentioned the Fulltone OCD! Had recently watched a few videos on it and That Pedal Show reviewed and compared the different versions. Found a good deal on eBay and can't wait to plug it in. Blues is my foundation and while I've been happy with my current board, I'll admit the OCD may have been the tone I've missing.

I know that feeling. I was so excited to get the Boss JB-2 Angry Driver, but after a month I got frustrated with it. After watching a ton of videos I realized that I had barely scratched the surface of its tone palette. Haven't stopped using it since plugging back in.

I use a lot of their tools and have considered a couple DIY pedal kits but never pulled the trigger. Which clones are you using and how do you rate the tones? I was hesitant to buy any "budget" clones but I finally got a Tone City Blues Man and I have to say it's very satisfying. I do worry about the lifespan of it, however, based on a lot of feedback on boards and yet most agree the Tone City pedals do sound great.

I use the Stewmac JH-808 overdrive pedal, not sure they still make it; and the Ghost Drive which is a Klon Minotaur clone.

Looks like they still have a TS kit for sale, and at a decent price as well. Huge SRV fan and shocked I haven't added an Ibanez TS yet to my board. I read he actually used the TS9 more than the TS808, but either way it's a great selling point.
