For my first post, I've decided to share my (relatively) newly acquired 1983 SC-2! I purchased it on Reverb in early March from a guitar shop in Sydney Australia and have been too busy playing and gigging the thing to take any pictures of it. I was nervous about buying a guitar overseas, but the thing arrived without any issues and was brilliantly packed and shipped, so kudos to that!
I've been after one of these rarebirds for almost eight years, and the stars aligned to be able to get this thing for a good deal (about 1400 after import fees and taxes). My expectations were thoroughly exceeded and I couldn't be happier, everything i've built up in my head about how great these guitars must be was basically true. It's so satisfying to basically obsess over something for years and have it be as good as you thought it was! I play a vast array of different types of music and it shines in all sorts of situations; it never fails to sound exactly right for any context, and i've barely touched any of my other guitars since getting it.
Now, enough gabbing, here's a few pics of the old girl:
I almost want to hire a professional to take really nice pictures cause it is a very beautiful guitar and the pics here don't really do justice to the neck especially!
Cheers and happy picking from a very satisfied six-string 'slinger

Welcome to our site!
The body color is Red not Fullerton Red which did not come out until 1996 with the release of the George Fullerton Signature model.
It is a beauty and I bet it sounds as good as it looks!
If you have not already added it to our G&L Registry, please do.

Congrats! She's a great looking guitar. Can definitely relate to the feeling of obsessing over something and trying endlessly to track it down in the guitar world, although maybe not quite for 8 years. Patience pays off. Enjoy!
Best,
Tanner
