I bought a G&L guitar second hand it plays and sounds great, but I don't know much about it
I think this is a G&L legacy special, however I could not find any information about it online (found a few but they looked different)
I know this guitar was bought sometime in 2001, but might have been made earlier,
I know from the paper that the guitar was made in the US
the serial number is CLF17293
I took some photos of it here: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/fold ... iEAED3HzYg
if anyone has any information or at least enough so that I can register it, it would be much appreciated
side note, the person I bought this from was clearly bought it, played a bit, put it in a case and never picked it up again it was like a time capsule, I bought it for 700$ today,
help me find information about my guitar

You are correct that your guitar is a Legacy Special (as noted on the headstock ).potzko wrote:I bought a G&L guitar second hand it plays and sounds great, but I don't know much about it

This model came out in 1993 and was discontinued in 2023.
Here is the G&L website 1998 Specifications page via the Internet Archive (link will open in a new tab): Legacy_Special.
Here is another Internet Archive link to new info on the Legacy Special via 2017 G&L website (link will open in a new tab): 2017_Legacy_Special.
You can get the trem bar from the G&L On-Line Store, here is the link (link will open in a new tab): replacement-vibrato-arm-pre-2005.potzko wrote:also, I am missing the trem bar, where would I be able to buy a replacement?
Hope this helps.

See this post for an alternative method, by contacting Memo (G&L Service Manager) to look up the completion date in the factory log:potzko wrote:thanks a ton I just read that to know the age of the guitar you have to remove the neck, so ill prob ask my tech to do that next time I need a setup on it
How do I determine an instrument's age?.
Hope this helps.
