Hi there,
As I continue my search for an 80s F 100, I have seen a few slightly later models, notable for a black crinkle control panel.
On the ggjaguar site he notes a 1984 model, called a Series II, but there is not mention of the fretboard radius in that description. It does sport the black crinkle panel, though.
My question is, would that black crinkle model still follow the Series II=7.5 radius rule?
I would assume so, but I have seen models with that crinkle listing 9.5 radius online. I know from experience here with my Skyhawk that at times it is difficult to get an accurate measurement, but I had never heard of a 9.5 inch radius on an F100 of that era.
So, my long-winded questions, could I trust an 80s F100 series II, assuming all original, is indeed 7.5? And are there any other differences anyone is aware of for those slightly later models?
Thanks for the help,
Andy

Update
I have a guy on the phone holding one of these. He says they measured and are finding 9.5. Which is fine, but I am much more happy with a smaller radius. Any thoughts any one? Could they be measuring wrong?

Re: 80s F 100 fretboard radii
Information I recall is Series I is 12” radius and Series II is 7.5”
I have not seen a 9.5 on any 80’s G&L necks.

Thanks Sam, I thought so.
This morning while on the phone asking a few questions the sales guy was waiting for another lucky person who was playing the guitar. That person decided not to let it go and bought it. Painful.

Beginning in July 2015, a new fretboard radius, 9.5", was added and the fretboard radius became a separate option.sam wrote:Information I recall is Series I is 12” radius and Series II is 7.5”

The return of the F-100 model was with the F-100 Return Edition-Limited Edition in 2007. In 2009, the F-100 was returned to the standard product line through
January 2018. The standard neck radius was 12". Reference post: Production List of G&L Instruments (USA)
Hope this helps.
