RIP Toby Keith

Post by DanDoulogos »

I heard the other day that Toby Keith had succumbed to stomach cancer on Monday (Feb 5).

A few songs of his that I didn't mind:
As Good As I Once Was
Wish I Didn't Know Now
I Wanna Talk About Me
Should Have Been A Cowboy
How Do You Like Me Now

I admire musicians who write and perform their own music, and I like them more if they openly love America. So even though I am not as big a country fan as my wife is, I was sad to hear the news.

Rest in Peace Toby.

Sad day indeed. I always liked his music and attitude in general.
Too damn young as well. Many of his songs had great hooks, those earworm kinds.

On his show Stephen Colbert did a really nice tribute of Toby Keith. Turns out they were great friends and admittedly strange bedfellows..
