MXR Carbon Copy issue

Post by sam »

Hey all,

Two part post on MXR Carbon Copy pedal and Jim Dunlop tech support.

1. Plugged in last week and my Carbon Copy fired up, got power (blue light was on) but no delay effect when engaged. Anyone have this issue before? Did some research and there was a jumper issue on the circuit panel at some time that was causing the problem, but other technical issues were also noted.

2. Saw some very good reviews on Jim Dunlop tech support so email was sent. Within a few hours (11pm) got a reply about setting up a return to check it out. Sent it out Saturday morning and the wait begins. They said it could be up to 4 weeks but that’s understandable. Anyone here ever dealt with Jim Dunlop tech support on any product concerns. What was your overall impression? So far after two quick replies I’m pleased. Will let all know how the repair / replacement proceeds.
Cya,
Sam

I hear their service is really good. Let me know how it goes.

I had an Ampeg Analog delay at one time. Regret losing it somewhere.
