Hello everyone
I'm the happy owner of an early 1986 G&L ASAT (with ebony fretboard, maple body and black hardware/Broadcaster features)
Do you have any idea about its value in 2023?
I live in Belgium - Europe, so not much of this model around here...
(Bought it $1000 in 2008)
Thank you for your time!

Re: ASAT 1986
Hi ho Silver,
These are the prices listed in guides here in the States for an 1986 ASAT:
Vintage Guitar 2023 Price Guide: between $1,225 and $1,600 depending on condition
Blue Book of Guitar Values: between $900 and $1,350 depending on condition
Not in total agreement but you get some idea. A couple of years ago I bought a John Jorgenson Signature with rare maple fingerboard at a shop in Utrecht and I paid €1,400 for it. Which was a fair price and should be comparable with an '86 ASAT in good condition.
Hope this helps,
- Jos

Re: ASAT 1986
Hi Silver
I see it’s yer first post, welcome! 1986 was a great year for ASAT’s, to put a price on it I’d have to say priceless.
Jos is right on general pricing, but just play often and loud.
Post more, would love to hear what lead ya to G&L.
