1979 design, Leo Fender’s prototype Magnetic Field Design...

Post by Craig »

From post on CLF Research's facebook page:
1979 design, Leo Fender’s prototype Magnetic Field Design humbuckers on the left and middle show a smooth field around the pickup
compared to a 1978 humbucker with magnets for pole pieces. A sheet of paper sprinkled with iron particles reveals the form of the
magnetic field in two dimensions.

The old adage holds true, this picture easily replaces a thousand words on the matter. This might become my goto pic when people ask me why my ASAT special sounds so rich.
