Did anyone here score the eBay listing on Sunday 11/20 for a "G&L F100 Series II"? The name didn't accurately describe this guitar, which had only two S-500 type square-end MFD pickups. Mahogany body, double cutaway, coated Lock-tight bridge—looked similar to a G-200, but the 3-way switch and two control knobs were on a Tele-like horizontal powder-coated strip, like on the prototype T-300 etc. Skunk stripe neck with F100 Series II label. Serial G009069 (not in the Registry; I haven't added it). Came in a vintage MusicMan (!) case. Only $750 and gone in a flash. Quite curious about this one's story...

Re: Prototype sold on eBay 11/20?
I sent Dave McLaren the link and asked him if it was listed in the Factory log.
If I hear anymore from Dave, I will follow up with his replies.
I told him it sold for $750 + $150 shipping.Dave McLaren wrote:Hi Craig, that definitely looks like our stuff, and that proto control plate is familiar. I’ll try to find out something and probably throw a bid even if it’s mystery meat.
Dave McLaren wrote:Lol maybe someone thought the same thing. No matter what it’s a thousand bucks cool.
Dave McLaren wrote:9609 is blank so it’s probably prototype-y. I’d nerd out on it for sure

Obviously, the seller did not know what he had for sale!tomanche wrote:Did anyone here score the eBay listing on Sunday 11/20 for a "G&L F100 Series II"? It looks like a T-400 prototype but with only two pickups.
Here is a photo of the T-400 we have in the GbL Gallery:
Here is one of the auction photos:
I have grabbed all the auction photos and put them in our Gallery here.
I don't have the photos Dean and I took at the factory of many of the blueprints at home here.
They are at my Paso Robles home and when we are up there (next month), I will bring them down here.
I believe we have a copy of the blueprint for this specific prototype.
Stay tuned.
