Anyone done it with an S-500 or Comanche, and what's your experience?
I've got a Tribute Comanche and I'm considering swapping out the volume pot for a push/pull and wiring it for series/parallel switching on the middle and bridge pickups.
I looove the sound of the middle Z coil and the (roughly) 15% extra output with middle and bridge in series might be handy as an inbuilt boost.
For reference, here's a link to the PG article for a wiring diagram, and pic of the mod below (this version gives the option of neck+middle in series or bridge+middle in series for positions 2 and 4)
