I’ve got an S-500 signature opened up and was wondering what the neck and neck pocket markings mean.

My only guess is that N. Ash means natural finish on an ash body. Craig will be along shortly to tell you what he knows, say to register it in the registry, and to ask you to post more photos of the whole guitar (oh and to link you to photo posting threads). :D

Welcome to our site!

What bigjim711 said plus I will add this: Contact Memo Romero (G&L Service Manager and ask him to look up the serial number in the factory log book to get the details including the completion date of your guitar. His email address is: repairs@glguitars.com.

For details on posting photos here, see: Tutorial: Posting photos.

Looking forward to see more of your guitar.
