I'm a proud owner of a G&L Tribute Doheny, standing inmidths of my expensive Gibsons and Fenders. I'm very happy with the doheny. It plays fine, 10th, low action, and sounds excellent, similar to the fenders, but much better: more fenderish than the fenders. How I love the PTB system, and the Dual-FulcrumTM vibrato.
Yes it's the Jazzmaster, ~30% the price, hence much better, having NOT the flaws of the '57 variant. The MFD pups are - for my taste - the last word on single coils. No way to make it better.
