Have they discontinued the ASAT JR?

Post by suave eddie »

I was perusing the G&L site and couldn't find the ASAT Jr where it used to be in the Tribute category.

I Googled it and came up with this page: https://glguitars.com/product/asat-junior-ii/

If you notice it has this: Category: Uncategorized.

If you click on the "Uncategorized" link it brings you here: https://glguitars.com/product-category/uncategorized/ Which contains a whole bunch of models not seen elsewhere on the site. Weird?

It's like a secret page on the website.

So is this model still in production or not?

The Tribute ASAT Junior II was discontinued effective in June 1, 2021. The last Price List it was in was this post: 1/15/2020-5/31/2021 Tribute Series Production Models.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

I've always been intrigued by this model but have never seen one in real life.

It was odd finding the "uncategorized" page on the website.

I have one of these guitars and like it very much. I bought it on EBay from a seller who was selling a bunch of them for a ridiculously low price. I don't know if it was a blem or something but the guitar was nicely made and finished, played great, and sounds good. I have had no issues with it. It gets the most play of any of my guitars because it was so cheap I hang it on my wall and don't worry what happens to it. Highly recommended if you can find one.

I have one of these also, I recently purchased off the G&L site as a B Stock. These are a wonderful guitar. I also have a Fender Modern Player Tele with P90's. The Junior II sounds livelier than the Fender, due to 500K pots, vs 250K in the Fender. If you find one, grab it if you can.
