ASAT special semi-hollow tribute

Post by ChrisPbass »

....I thought that G&L did NOT make a semi-hollow special but it seems I am wrong. I guess this was discontinued for some reason?
Let the hunt begin.

This post is me basically celebrating the fact that I can now afford an ASAT s-hollow.

and I found a 2008 on Reverb for a very good price. Pretty big honkin' dig on the edge of the back and the p/guard is warped but I don't care. This thing sounds GOOD. The E string BARKS like a bad dog!

I am contemplating adding a middle pup to give it 3 pups total. 1 more MFD pup... has anyone done this?

I give up on posting pictures. :shocked028:

Here you go, click each link and the photo will show in a new tab:

Since your urls are not directly to the jpg files, you need to use "nturl=" BBcode, see the Tutorial: posting photos post, specifically the "Important Notes:" section.

Regarding the Tribute ASAT Special Semi-hollow model:

The Tribute ASAT Semi-hollow model was available from 2003 until 2010 according to the various Tribute Dealer Price Lists.
However, the model listing remained on G&L's main website thru 2014.

Hope this helps.

Hey Chris,

Great score! :happy0065: Those are hard to find. Classic sunburst and white covers look fantastic.

I love ASAT SH with big MFD’s and if you can add a third that is a super setup. I have a ASAT Trinity which is a 3 MFD pup and no f-hole semi hollow that rocks. Keep us updated on how she sounds and if you add the middle pup.

You can never have to many ASAT’s!

What p/up can I put in here? Memo from repairs@ said that the reverse would p/up that would go in my ASAT are not made anymore and he's gone silent. I don't blame him....but

What can I put in this guitar? Does it have to be RW?
