LB-100 Tribute vs USA

Hi all. Looking at both of these models. I can buy the Tribute now or wait 6 months to a year for the USA. As far as hardware/pickups/electronics on the Tribute version what are USA parts and what are not? Also for those that have owned and or played both what are your thoughts on the differences? Thanks

The Saddle-Lock bridge is the same as the US but the Tribute Series model is equipped with chrome plated zinc die-cast saddles instead of chrome plated brass saddles for the USA G&L Saddle-Lock 4-string bass bridge.

The Alnico pickups in the Tribute LB-100 are made at the Indonesia factory to G&L's specs. All other parts are supplied by the Indonesia factory.

If you have played both is there a discernible different in the way the two basses feel and play. If you didn’t know which was which could you tell the differences by feel, looks and playability?

You could play, back-to-back, two Tribute LB-100s and detect a difference - however slight. You could play, back-to-back, two USA LB-100s and detect a difference - also however slight. They're all made of wood, so perfect consistency ain't gonna happen.

Having said that:

Most people will find that the fit & finish is discernably better with the USA instruments. Playability for either will vary with setup, something that either would need fresh off the factory floor (from ANY manufacturer), with the USA being nicer in the hands.
