In praise of split shaft tuning machines

Post by glvourot »

Finally got around to changing the strings on the last guitar that needed it ( I have six ). It can't get any quicker than with the locking tuners on my S-500 but I would not bother getting them installed on my other G&L's with split shaft tuners. They are such a great design compared the ones on my Gibson's . Not earth shattering news by any means but they are great. So quick. Carry on.

They're my favorite, really glad G&L continues installing them.

Agree! I wish all my guitars had split post tuners.
