New member....Gilles from France

Post by gmihelcic »

Hi everybody,

Quite new within the forum but already within the G&L community for 2 years...
54 Yrs and from Brittany near St Brieuc.
Happy to discover nice spirit after a very positive experience within the HFC (Hamer Fan Club) and I guess, for some very comparable reasons, the same spirit.
member ghamerinfrance for some who are on both forums :)

I received my first G/L (Classic S) that I dislike a bit and move to Hamer for many years....
and then the second one (s Special Swamp ash) was the right one...a great one.
Now I switched to a ASAT III that I love...

I really compare the G/L to Hamer (with their place regarding Fender/Gibson) and their sizes, places on the market and specially their devotion to Quality on the instruments.

Happy to discover your community.

Cheers to everyone

Gilles,

Welcome to this site.

The Asat lll is a great guitar , good choice.

I also like Hamer guitars. The original Hamer shop was right down the road from me. For me I associate G&L and Heritage Guitars to Fender/Gibson. G&L and Heritage being superior builds all the way around in my opinion.

enjoy the Asat lll,

Hi Gilles and welcome

Just as y2kc said, the ASAT III is a great guitar, and as you ply with the controls and in general you will see all it can serve up.

Round here it don’t exist without a picture. Post some pics of yer ASAT III and fill is in on what you like about it.

Lots of knowledgeable folks if you have questions, but jump in often, the more the merrier.

I agree, this is so much more convenient to judge :)

I first love the neck (size) but would rather feel the maple...
Love the weight and specially the pickups on this one...
Love the sound as well even if I would love to test with lollar charlie christian (and pray for getting Tim Lerch fingers...). This is the reason I love as well the ASAT III giving me the possibility to get this Bridge (I prefer it to classic one) AND the pool routing of the body for further options...
Unfortunately, someone already installed a humbucker on the bridge and this is the reason for having it modified...

I love G&L ASAT Special and III...and never had the chance to test a classic but I guess this is more a Telecaster feeling.

So still loving the Hamer guitars but playing only G&L those days...even if I admit that both guitars (and community) are great...

Welcome...Nice classy looking guitar. I don't think I have seen a painted belly cut on a G&L before. I think I like it.

In fact, this is only a protection...

The CC is on :)

Love it and looking for a correct bridge humbucker or P90 humbucker size...

And the birdseye maple neck is coming from Longbeach :) Yes....
