Hi, i own this asat since a few years and i was wandering how to know if it's a USA or not
Any help would be very nice. The weird thing is that the serial number on the 3-bolt neckplate does not match the certificate of authenticity serial number.
In my opinion, I would say the person that sold it to me had a fake certificate or took someone else's certificate...
Thanks for, your help,
jm408

Re: Help: Is my asat USA?
Hi jm408,
The pictures don't work. Please see the Tutorial: Posting photos for that.
The whole certificate thing, and not being able to see the pics, makes me wonder whether there are any shenanigans going on. But a guitar with a 3-bolt neck attachment should be US made. You would be able to see that from the neck in the sense there should not be any additional holes, i.e. just 3 holes for the wood screws plus a much smaller hole for the tilt adjustment. The 3-botl neck was replaced by a 4-bolt neck with S/N water slide on the back of the headstock around 1997. Hence your guitar should predate that year.
Hope this helps,
- Jos

Mistakes happen. The wrong number was written down or you were provided another guitars information. Used guitars sometimes come with surprises.
Is this a warranty card that has the wrong number? If that is the case, it was switched at a dealer by mistake. Possible the guitar was simply put in the wrong case.
I have a Broadcaster Certificate that does not match up to the guitar so stuff happens. Enjoy your Asat.

I think you need to make those images shareable in google photos if you want other people to see them. Alternately, I think you can go into google photos and click on an image which will bring you to a page that looks at the image - the right click on that image and say, "open image in a new tab" then go to that new tab, and right click the image in the new tab. Copy the link to -that- image (it will be considerably longer, and end in ".jpg") and use that in between the timage tags.jm408 wrote:Hi, i own this asat since a few years and i was wandering how to know if it's a USA or not

Hope that helps. If you get an image size error - you'll have to resize the images too.

Re: Help: Is my asat USA?
No, see: Tutorial: Posting photos.jm408 wrote:do i have to register to '' Registered Users Gallery'' before being abel to post pics in the forum?
But you can use your Registered Users Gallery (which I see you registered for one). The tutorial has an example of posting
a photo from my Registered Users Gallery. Read DanDoulogos's post in this thread as he covers many of the causes for failure
to post photos.
Hope this helps.
