Another sad day in the music world. Marty Balin died at 76 today.
From Jefferson Airplane to his solo “Hearts” Marty was always part of some fantastic music.

We were on vacation in Yellowstone National Park and did not have internet access until we returned.sam wrote:Another sad day in the music world. Marty Balin died at 76 today.

I totally agree that this was a sad day with the loss of Marty. I grew up in the SF Bay Area (Mountain View) and saw Marty and the Jefferson Airplane at
various venues in the San Francisco Bay Area during high school and beyond. I have been listening to Jefferson Airplane's first album "Takes Off" as a remberance of
Marty's unique voice. May he rest in peace.
