Year my S500 was made??

Just bought a new Legacy S500 from Musician's Friend. Ordered Aug 31, said it was back ordered. It arrived on Sept 13.
The serial number is 171006005 so that makes me think it was made Oct of 2017?

So Musician's Friend placed an order with G&L and they fulfilled it with a guitar made way back then. Does that make sense?

This is an Indonesia one, not a US.

Yes that looks correct for the date. It was made less than a year ago, so that seems reasonable for a recent purchase.

I'm sure G&L has Tributes in their warehouse that they use to fulfill orders from dealers, and they probably fill them with a "first in, first out" system.

Thanks for the replies. I started down this path because my "Sonic Blue" sure looks green to me, and I was wondering if they might have changed the color for 2019 and that I got an early 2019. I was quite surprised to find out instead of an early 2019, my 2018 is actually a 2017, and should I ever go to sell it, it will look like its a year older than what I thought I was buying.
