Here is another option you might consider: have the G&L Custom Shop build you a Skyhawk to your specs.
This was posted today on G&L's Custom Shop facebook page:
5A Maple neck blank for a very special CS Skyhawk. Stay tuned...
Image
Body blank made of Okoume and a killer Flame Maple top. This will be the first CS Skyhawk.

First Custom Shop Skyhawk ready to be cut on our CNC. Stay tuned for more.

Custom Shop Skyhawk ready for sanding. Stay tuned.

Hope this helps.

Sorry to comment on this old post. I'm looking forward to buy an USA G&L guitar and was wondering why only on the skyhawk it is mentioned about plek'd frets and not on other models? I thought all made in USA guitars go through plek process.

Thanks.

Yes, all U.S. G&L instruments go through the Plek process.
See this post in the G&L Specifications and Options sub-forum: Current G&L Specifications and Options.
In the COMMON SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES section you will find this statement:
World-class fretwork finishing including Plek process ensuring the ultimate in player comfort and feel.
Hope this helps.

It did help. I got confused because they especially mentioned on few guitars specs.

Thank you so much. Have a good day.

They're on eBay. Who will bite first?
