Hearing aids w Bluetooth

Post by fraidykat »

Hi, all,

I went in for a hearing test and was told that I may need hearing aids due to my tinnitus.
Has anyone you know gotten hearing aids w Bluetooth?
You’re supposed to be able to use them w your iPhone, etc.
Does anyone know if they would connect & work as PA system monitor?
I’ll certainly speak w my ear Dr, but I am looking for a musician’s experience.

Thanks, Kate

Shure, and presumably other brands, already make bluetooth in-ear monitors. They would need to be paired to work. In theory, if your hearing aid could pair with such a PA - it might function as an in-ear monitor tuned to your particular hearing loss.

I expect you already are aware of this, and are looking to see if anyone has tried it. Sadly, I haven't, but the thought interests me since my wife has hearing loss, and such a solution would be very cool, and very welcome.
