According to the knowledge base the new 2017 specs for the G&L Asat Classic Tributes there's a "Butterscotch Blonde" finish but on reverb there seems to also be a transparent blonde finish as well. Are these special runs or possible an addition new colour or is it just the lighting of the photo that's tricking me?

This seems to be a lighter blonde than the usual butterscotch.

I sent a copy of your post to one of my contacts at G&L.goatofballstreet wrote:According to the knowledge base the new 2017 specs for the G&L Asat Classic Tributes there's a "Butterscotch Blonde" finish but on reverb there seems to also be a transparent blonde finish as well. Re: G&L Asat Classic tribute shades of blonde?
Thank you for all the help with the clarifications about G&L finish options! I was looking around more and I noticed a possible third blonde?

I suspect it might be at least of the same family as the first one I posted and this is the lighting but it seems to be a middle ground between blonde and butterscotch.

At least as listed here http://glguitars.com/imagedownloads/Tri ... /index.htm I see a butterscotch blonde but another just called blonde.goatofballstreet wrote:According to the knowledge base the new 2017 specs for the G&L Asat Classic Tributes there's a "Butterscotch Blonde" finish but on reverb there seems to also be a transparent blonde finish as well. Re: G&L Asat Classic tribute shades of blonde?
I got confirmation that the Tribute ASAT Classic is only available in Butterscotch Blonde not in Blonde.Craig wrote:I sent a copy of your post to one of my contacts at G&L.goatofballstreet wrote:According to the knowledge base the new 2017 specs for the G&L Asat Classic Tributes there's a "Butterscotch Blonde" finish but on reverb there seems to also be a transparent blonde finish as well. Butterscotch Blonde (from main G&L website)
As a reference from the main G&L website and note these are for the ASAT Classic Bluesboy Semi-Hollow:
Blonde
Natural Gloss
Notes:
- Riff City Guitars is mistakenly calling the finish as "Ash Blonde", the official name is Butterscotch Blonde.
- The photo on reverb is really washed out and they mistakenly list it as "Blonde".
Hope this helps.

It's wild how lighting varies these transparent finishes so much, I've grown on the washed out blonde look too, I might just take a plunge on this one and hope it's lighter than normal butterscotch
