First G&L: Superhawk content

Post by danzigdan »

I've been a lurker for awhile, and this is my first post on the "new" board. I've been after a classic G&L for awhile and I thought it my first would probably end up being an SC-3. That was until this Superhawk appeared on my local Craigslist and I almost leapt through the screen! Too good to pass up. Kinda grungy---needs new strings and a bath! It's an 86'. Looks to be a Super Distortion in the bridge, I know more when I have the strings off.

Neat guitar, Kahler bridge? Does it potentially sport one of those old flip lock nuts too? Those were neat.

Yep, stock Kahler. A friend of mine is a luthier and thinks he has the missing piece. The trem is currently blocked underneath.

I'm happy to have found it. It's a mess at the moment but I'll take pride in cleaning it up.
