Anonymous 1984 Skyhawk
This rather heavy 1984 Skyhawk, finished in clear red, has really gotten around! A number of GbLers (including myself) have owned it. Jake Kurdsjuk had the following to say about it when he originally submitted this photo: "After a couple bad experiences I'd sworn to myself that I'd never enter a Guitar Center store again. Well, one day something made me pull into a new one they'd just put up. Lo and behold, there amongst all the typical guitars adorning the walls was this somewhat dirty clear red Skyhawk. It played nicely despite old strings, and the rather heavy ash body. The salesman told me he didn't have the case or a tremolo arm, but could probably find one in another store. I figured, 'Yeah right!' but left my phone number anyway. I left the store, but kept thinking about the guitar and decided to swing by on my way home figuring if I could get it cheap enough the case didn't matter. I stopped in and spoke to a different salesman since the original guy was out. This one said he was the one who took the guitar in 3 days before and told me the case and arm were in the back. Needless to say, I got the guitar, case and arm and managed to get a great price besides. It cleaned up pretty nice too. You can't see it in the picture but there is a very interesting 'X' figure in the ash body when held to the light at certain angles."
