Jos van Schagen's 2009 C.L.F. Centennial ASAT Limited Edition

"My birthday in 2010 came with a big surprise. The FedEx guy dropped this guitar off at my doorstep, with my lovely wife grinning in the background. Up to that moment, she hadn't presented me with a present yet and I was wondering...
How does this beauty feel and play? I have many different neck-shapes: thick, wide-fat, wide-thin, V-shaped, etc. Never been a real stickler on a particular kind of neck as long as it fits comfortably in my big hands. This one is no exception. The neck has a medium thickness I would say. Certainly not 'baseball bat'. Like my sonically richest ASAT's (Broadcaster, Commemorative, original Blues Boy, 20th Anniversary, JD-5, and Trinity) it also has a 7½" radius board. But strung with 0.010's, I have not encountered the problem of fretting out (yet); a problem that I have seen frequent references to. The overall sound is just fantastic. The Centennial has a kind of clarity to it that I have not heard before. Don't know whether it's the wood, the 7½" radius of the fretboard, the hand-wound pickups, or the hardware, but this one rings like a bell. And if my wife gives me stuff like this, I want it to be my birthday everyday!"
