Here's Michael Conover's beautiful 1998 ASAT Special. Mike says: "This guitar was built after the original order came incorrectly from G&L. The original Cherryburst ASAT Special came with no binding, alder body and a poor setup. Doug Abrams and Eddie Berman at Indoor Storm got with Dave McLaren and reordered the guitar with a bunch of extras. Wow! What a bunch of extras!!
