Mark Jarzemsky's 1999 ASAT S-3
Mark says, "Here's my 1999 ASAT S-3. Really nice, tobacco sunburst with matching headstock and wood binding. Perfect frets, flawless finish...the usual. Here's the unique part. As you can see from the picture on the right the guitar has a beautiful deep striped grain. But if you look at the top from a few certain angles depending on the light source, the heavy grain becomes almost smooth and invisible (see left pic) and then as you tilt back it dramatically morphs back into view. I know this phenomenon can happen with alot with figured woods, esp. flamed maple but I've never seen it quite as dramatic on ash. Kinda like a holoview baseball card with two different top grains. You can see what I mean in the pics, but to see the transition for real is very dramatic and makes this guitar very special."
