Greg Gagliano's 1983 SB-1

Greg Gagliano's SB-1, dated March 1983. Greg says, "Bright screaming fire engine red finish over a slab (no back contour) maple body. This is the early version of the SB-1 produced from late 1982 to 1984. Note that G&L used all the same hardware on their student (i.e. budget) models as found on the pro models, including Ultra-Lite tuners, Saddle Lock bridge, Magnetic Field pickup and Bi-Cut neck construction with 34 inch scale."
