G&L Custom Shop serial number and logo laser etching ...

Post by Craig »

Prepping back of headstock for Custom Shop logo. Once the laser does its thing, it is then ready for its "other half" of the process.

Mahogany inserts prepped and ready before installation.

After the mahogany CS logo has been inserted and the etched serial number has been stained with a walnut finish.

That's cool. I thought the logo was just laser etched like the serial number rather than a Mahogany insert. One day I might actually have one to look at and play.

Do you know if they would make a Custom Creations guitar with a three bolt neck and micro-tilt?

Hehe...going after the holy grail of sacred cows there? I'd love to see G&L making 3 bolt, micro-tilt necks once again, but I suspect that would be too much like a doorway into supporting older models with replacement necks (sigh). I expect if they did offer it, they charge a mint - just to discourage people from "going there".

(edited for tone)

Here we have two necks in contrasting colors both Maple, one roasted with a Quilted Maple logo and the other has a Mahogany inlaid logo.
