Pickguard Heaven

Post by JustinX »

Trying to order a new pickguard for my ASAT from pickguards.us (Pickguard Heaven). Anyone else used this site? Just how easy is it? They have a section where you can preview the material, but most of the listings don't have preview links, and a large amount of the ones that do have links don't work.

Just curious.

Hey JustinX,

I used them for a custom ASAT guard and found them to be very helpful with email replies and delivered an excellent guard. An ASAT mod went from this

to this with sticker still on

They took their standard ASAT template and added a Paul Gagon neck humbucker. I sent an outline of the original for them to get the screw holes to match. I may be getting another style done in the future.

Give 'em a try.

In case you weren't aware, they are the long time supplier of pickguards for G&L US models.
Also, what model ASAT do you have? Your registry entry says the model is an ASAT but the bridge type you selected is the one for the ASAT Classic model.
Care to share a photo of your G&L?

I recently used them to cut a 1-ply black guard for my ASAT Classic Tribute. I had to send them the original pick guard since they didn't have the template for one (lefty). The quality & fit are top notch!

Here's a pic of the original guard:

And here's the one from PGH:

Very happy with the results!

I haven't seen one for a Tribute Legacy. One might be nice on my new flamed maple top Legacy. I'll do with the cream for now and maybe I'll end up liking it.

I am sorry for reviving an old thread, but I just recently acquired the same guitar, and as a fellow lefty, with the lack of quality instruments (mid-range) available, I can't seem to put it down :)

Anyway, back to the pickguard - I'd figure that since you have already sent in your pickguard, should I need to send mine in? do you think I could use your customer number or reference to simply produce another pickguard, exactly the same? 1-ply black - care to sell me yours? :D

Problem is that I live here in Europe and sending in my pickguard seems time-consuming and slightly unnecessary since someone else has already sent in theirs.

BTW, what was the charge for this service?

You will need to contact the folks at Pickguard Heaven to get the answers.

I wouldn't suspect you would have to send the pickguard in again. They should already have the template, but you would want to contact them to confirm. If they need an order number for reference, I can PM that to you.

Let me know. Good luck!

Hey thanks man, I appreciate it!

I have emailed them already and waiting to hear back from them.

Sending the pickguard from Prague over there would cost about $20 or more. Add the regular shipping cost and the pickguard itself, and I'm looking at $100 for a lowly plastic thing :(
