I don't have the measurements handy. If you are trying to see if a Fender neck will fit a G&L body, the answer is no.Cal Webway wrote:New member here!

See: Compilation of Replacement neck info posted on the G&L Forum.
If this info does not help, please elaborate more on what you are needing that measurement.

Re: USA ASAT CLassic neck width question
Thank you for the link!
Had a US ASAT in the 90's, known for yrs of trad Fender and G&L's incompatability but always thought it was just because
of the full 22 fret length of the g&L Vs 22 fret overhang (or just ending at 21 frets) on Fenders.
- actually, I just want to know.
I think a wider than a trad Fender pocket is a plus to me, with my playing.

Re: USA ASAT CLassic neck width question
Yes, it's a little wider; I find the extra width a plus, too.
A very close approximation is that the G&L measures 2 1/4" as against Fender's 2 3/16". Doesn't sound like much, but you can definitely feel the benefit.
G&L work in metric nowadays, so that may not be exact to a very small accuracy, but my new ones still measure pretty exactly 2.25

Then you might consider ordering the #4 optional neck (1 3/4" nut width) instead of theCal Webway wrote:Nick,

standard #1 neck.

Craig,
thanx for input.
At the nut 1 3/4" is too wide for me.
I should have specified, I need all the 'fb real estate I can use' in the 13-15th fret or so thru the 22nd
where the pocket width makes the difference, slight as it may seem to others.

The #1 neck on my 2014 GbL LE-2 measurements are:Cal Webway wrote:Craig,

width at 13th fret - 2 5/64"
width at 15th fret - 2 1/8"
width at 22nd fret - 2 1/4"
I get the same measurements on the #1 necks of my 2011 ASAT Junior II and 2012 ASAT Classic 'S' .
Hope this helps.
