Pick-up height for Z-Coil?

Post by kingswood127 »

I know, I know...not another pick-up height question. Before I'm dragged over hot coals, I located the below information on another post, but would like some opinions as to whether they would apply to my new, but gently used, Comanche with Z-coils -

What should the pickup height setting be?
[This post is based upon information provided by Steve Grom, Director of Manufacturing]

I would suggest using 1/16" for the 1st string and 3/32" for the sixth string.

It's one of those adjustments that can easily be changed if someone wants to hear the difference
with the pickups a little closer or a little further from the strings.

Thanks much for any input!

Yes, that can be used for the Z-coils as well.
Let us know what settings you end up using for your Comanche.

Hope this helps.
